After wrapping up the tours of our two circus/cabaret shows, La Soirée and Club Swizzle, which did extended seasons in London’s Leicester Square, the Sydney Opera House, Perth and Auckland, we are now gearing up to once again throw open the doors this Easter weekend with a fun-packed program!
It all starts on Good Friday with the all-ages Really Good Good Friday Circus Bonanza, which will leave the young (and the young at heart) with mouths agape. The show that everyone’s been talking about, the famous Cheeky Cabaret, returns with two killer instalments. Finally, Easter Sunday will herald the arrival of the inimitable Paul Capsis in Brunswick Heads — yes, the cabaret and stage legend whose voice has been described as “an act of God.”

Grand Re-Opening in…
So much more to come!
After laying dormant for over 30 years, the curtains lifted on this old theatre in March 2016 and it began a new lease on life, lovingly restored by the creative team behind the award-winning and internationally acclaimed circus/cabaret sensations “La Soirée” and “Club Swizzle.”
Having survived the wreckers’ ball and the ravages of time, this iconic building’s revival has set the stage for a vibrant and
charismatic mix of film, circus, live theatre and family-friendly entertainment.
It is our desire to establish the Brunswick Picture House as a local landmark for the community, for people to meet, be inspired, gossip, laugh and be entertained.
Dedicated to putting the fun back into going to a show or the cinema, the Brunswick Picture House has re-emerged — reimagined and better than ever.
New opening times will be announced soon.

The Brunswick Picture House is a 75-year-old building which presents certain challenges in bringing her up to current standards. Unfortunately we have not yet been able to overcome the difficulties presented by the construction of the building and council regulations to make this a fully wheelchair accessible venue. We are working towards upgrades which will address this issue as inclusivity and accessibility for all community members is of the utmost importance to us. At present we are easily able to accommodate wheelchairs into the venue itself, however our toilet facilities are not wheelchair accessible. We apologise for any inconvenience.
