Winner of the Best Theatre at FRINGE WORLD Perth and NEWCASTLE FRINGE 2025, Logie-winning storyteller Rob Carlton returns with VIRGIN IN A KNIFE FIGHT — a fast, funny and heartfelt hour of true stories from a life proudly underprepared. It begins with 18-year-old Rob on the backstreets of Salzburg in a three-person knife fight — despite never having used his travel knife on anything harder than cheese.

From there, he dives into wild student nights, an absurd courtroom showdown on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and a moving story of fatherhood and friendship that lands straight in the heart. Finally, the knife fight returns, and what began as farce ends somewhere unexpectedly tender. With warmth, wit and perfect timing, Carlton finds the funny in chaos and the humanity in our most ridiculous moments.

ABOUT ROB CARLTON
Rob Carlton is an award-winning Australian actor, writer and director. He won a Silver Logie for his portrayal of Kerry Packer in Paper Giants and an AWGIE Award for his hit comedy Chandon Pictures (Stan). His screen credits include The White Lotus (HBO), Boy Swallows Universe (Netflix), North Shore (Paramount/10) and Black Snow (Stan). And now Tropfest is back he can brag that in 2006 he won Trop with his short film Carmichael and Shane.
