Celebrating Simple Pleasures

Fundraiser for the Brunswick Heads Visitor Centre

For 18 years, our self-funded Visitor Centre has been the heart of Brunswick Heads, welcoming visitors and sharing our message of “simple pleasures,” with wonderful local, family friendly events such as Kites and Bikes, Old and Gold, the Mullum2Bruns Paddle, Simple Pleasures Photo Competition and more.

However, recent challenges — rising rent, the economic downturn, the impact of COVID-19, and even floods — have made it increasingly difficult to source our usual income streams, through corporate sponsorships and memberships.

The Visitor Centre is a central part of the community. We have worked tirelessly to promote our Simple Pleasures brand and to keep Brunswick Heads as a family friendly, low key seaside town with a laid-back vibe. It would be deeply saddening if we close, as it is one of the last community services left in our village.

Helping support our fundraiser are some amazing local performers:

GOODRICH — Playing 1960’s and 1970’s Rolling Stones, The Kinks and The Who to 1980’s Talking Heads, Blondie, Bowie, Devo, through to today, The Black Keys — a healthy infusion of OZ homegrown.
RAY ESSERY — local larrikan bush poet.
ILONA HARKER — local performer

Travelling from Byron Bay?
Byron Bus Co. shuttle bus will be available from the bus interchange at 5pm. Limited to 21 seats. Cost $5 each way. Call Andy 0490 183 424.

Please note the Brunswick Picture House is located in Brunswick Heads NSW, in the Northern Rivers region (NOT in Brunswick VIC). Please select your tickets carefully as no refund or credit will be granted for errors in identifying the venue location.

When completing your ticket purchase online via Eventfinda, tickets are usually emailed within 10 minutes of your purchase confirmation. Please ensure that your email address is correctly entered in your purchase and be sure to check your Junk Mail or Spam folders if you haven’t received your tickets. Eventfinda also contacts all ticketholders with show information via email, so be sure to check these folders.
