Will I Ever Call You Jampa?

A unique, highly inspiring and unmissable documentary about a brother-sister relationship.

What awaits you when your brother, with whom you’ve always been very close, suddenly takes a completely different path in life, and you risk losing him?

In this intimate, autobiographical documentary, Nena van Bakel sets out to discover why her brother has decided to become a Buddhist monk. Will their brother-sister relationship survive this life changing decision? Or will it mean that their once really strong bond will never be the same again?

An inspiring documentary about a brother and a sister trying to navigate their relationship when their paths seem to take very different directions. A story relatable to anyone that has ever felt a growing distance with a loved one.

With this documentary, Nena wants to hold up a mirror for the spectator. What does questioning someone else’s choices says about the ones you made? Is your life giving you joy and fulfillment? What is happiness to you? A personal and taboo-breaking portrait that leaves the viewer thinking about their own life.

The documentary will be followed by a live Q&A with Jampa & Nena.
